Girls
Beginner/ Advanced BeginnerThe beginner costume is a blue skirt with red and white embroidery. A white short sleeve shirt with a peter pan collar is worn with the skirt and poodle socks and a red bow (available from the teachers).

Novice/PrizewinnerThe school dress is black with dark blue, light blue, red and white embroidery. It can be purchased from Sandra of Dance Bling.

Prizewinner/ ChampionsAs a dancer competes in higher levels, they may purchase a solo dress. The teachers will let the dancer and family know when to get one. Used solo dresses can be found on DanceAgain and on FeisDresses. New dresses can be purchased from many different dressmakers.

Boys
Beginner boys wear black slacks, a white shirt and a royal blue tie (with or without a vest). At higher levels, boys can add an embroidered vest or jacket.
Hair and make-up
Girls and boys should have a neat appearance at shows and competitions. Girls can curl their hair or they can wear a bun or full wig. The instructors will help choose the type of wig that would be best for the dancer.
Girls under 10 are restricted from wearing make-up at all levels of competition.

Shoes and socks
Dancers start with the soft shoes and will progress to the hard shoes as they learn. Shoes can be purchased at vendors (Fay's, Rutherford's and Feis Fayre) at feiseanna (competitions). Used shoes can often be purchased from Cummins' families. You may also have luck finding them on the used shoe discussion board. Poodle socks are worn by girls while dancing and can be purchased at one of the shoe vendors.
